GITH International ministries is tasked to spread the Word of God in Zambia and beyond. The ministry has over 21 satellite churches with approximately two thousand (2,000) members all active in the spreading the word of God. The Ministry is further involved in Community service i.e. children’s ministry, looking after the aged, Prolife activities, and distribution of clothing and food to the needy.
GITH has been expanding its activities abroad and has currently been registered in BELGIUM. It is the Ministry’s desire to plant Churches in Europe and beyond. The Ministry has also undertaken mission trips to Egypt, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho. Currently, the Ministry is courting another in South Africa with a view to working as Partners.
The ministry is led by founder and Senior Pastor, Apostle Helen Mwenya Mukumba (Apostle Helen) who is the Ministry President. She is deputized by two Vice Presidents; Senior Bishop Edmond Mwenya and Bishop Henry Chansa. Other Bishops are Bishop Alfred Musonda, Bishop Cartwright Njomba and International Evangelist Hortence Maloba Njomba. Pastoral staff include Reverend Charlotte Mutaka in Belgium and eight others in Zambia plus two Associate Pastors. This brings the total number of Pastoral staff to seventeen (17). Congregations that have no pastors are run by Elders who report to the pastors in the nearby vicinities.
CALL FOR PARTNERS AND MINISTRY SUPPORT
The task for GITH Ministries is mammoth and the ministry needs partners and other support in material, financial and spiritual support. GITH is involved in agricultural projects raising funds but this is currently on a small scale as the ministry is inadequately capitalized. We make a call on Christians out there to partner with us and/or provide financial and other support to enable us fulfill our mission.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
A board of Trustees for the Ministry was recently formed with a threefold mandate as follows:
a) To be custodians of the Ministry assets.
b) To grow the asset base.
c) To continuously raise funds for the Ministry.
Much as the Board is exerting every effort to realize its mandate, the Board is still in its infancy and needs support from all well-wishers and partners.
